I placed an ad for my old cell phone on craigslist.com and received an email from Todd wanting to purchase it. We exchanged several emails and finally arranged a time to meet. He noticed my name and asked about my ministry. I told him I didn’t know how people manage without God in their lives. He heartily agreed. We had a great talk about faith, scripture and giving glory back to God.
I had several other meetings last week that were simply grace-filled. I call those Divine Appointments.

Do you ever worry about what other people are thinking? I found myself worried that a friend was upset me because her conversations seemed short and abrupt. When I checked in with her, she shared some difficulties she’s been going through.
It is so easy to take things personally. It’s helpful to check in with others immediately, rather than swirling in worry. I try to remember to tell myself to “get over it” rather than dwell on what other people are thinking. Most of the time, they are too busy to even notice me.

One never knows what Spirit has in store for us to deepen our faith. We received very devastating news that Laurence’s blood disorder has progressed into leukemia. He was admitted to OHSU on Christmas Eve. We have turned to our spiritual community and to each other for strength. I am blogging on his progress at Wholeness Revealed.
I am so grateful for the principles and the practice that keeps me centered and gives me strength. We are taking one day at a time. Prayers are appreciated.

“And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were so afraid. And the angel said unto them, “Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”
Blessings to you and your family for a loving and joyful Christmas holiday!
