Each of us is a walking field of energy made up of our thoughts, feelings and ideas. We have the power to shift the energy in our lives. Instead of worrying and stressing and paying attention to the news, take the time to refocus your energy with these three Universal Laws:
Universal Law: Whatever I give out with love comes back to me multiplied.
Reach out and help someone else in need. A sense of expansion happens when we stop thinking about ourselves and extend a helping hand to another. The good deeds and efforts that you share with others will come back to you multiplied.
Universal Law: Whatever I am grateful for increases.
You may have already experienced some financial hardship and had to make some serious lifestyle changes. Don’t despair. Begin right where you are and put your attention on the things you are grateful for. Be grateful for new ideas, new opportunities, new relationships. Even the smallest seed of gratitude will grow and expand into possibilities you could never have imagined.
Golden Key: Focus on God and away from the problem.
Dr Emmett Fox, author, teacher and healer in the early 1900s, developed the concept of The Golden Key. He taught that you turn the Golden Key by taking attention away from the problem and putting it on God instead. In other words, stop worrying about the problem and put your thoughts on God or your highest idea of Good in your life. When you do this, you will be amazed at how your mind clears and things begin working out more easily and better than you thought possible.
We each make an impact on the collective energy field and on the results in our lives. Try this out for yourself and see the difference.

It’s so easy to focus on not being enough. If we were a little bit smarter, worked a little harder, extended ourselves a little farther, then we would be enough. Not true.
As long as we think there is something more to do or be or have, we live in lack. When we accept right where we are, at this moment, right now, we open ourselves for more to flow to us and through us. When we live in the moment we live in love. Emmet Fox wrote, “There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer.”
An affirmation from Catherine Ponder: “Divine Love is doing its perfect work here and now. Divine Love harmonizes, Divine Love adjusts, Divine Love prospers and foresees everything and richly provides every good thing right here and now. Divine Love is now victorious.”

Watch this! A great synopsis of Dan Pink’s latest book, Drive. The reality of motivation according to science. Spiritual leaders have been teaching this all along. As we develop our spiritual purpose, we open to enormous possibilities in the world. We live out of inspiration instead of desperation.
Praise God!

I was visiting family back east recently and listened to them worry and stress about the national debt and the political discussions in Washington. It’s so easy to feel helpless and hopeless about the situation. Then I remembered the Prayer for our Country. We may not be able to do anything about the stalled talks but we can turn our awareness to our higher power and source of all good. Please join me in reciting this prayer daily.
My Prayer for My Country
by Ernest Holmes
Believing in the Divine destiny of the United States of America and in the preservation of liberty, security, and self-expression for all, I offer this, my prayer for my country:
I know that Divine Intelligence governs the destiny of the United States of America, directing the thought and the activity of all who guide its affairs.
I know that success, prosperity, and happiness are the gifts of freedom, the Divine heritage and is now operating in the affairs of every individual in this country.
I know that Divine guidance enlightens the collective mind of the people of this country, causing it to know that economic security may come to all without the loss of either personal freedom or individual self-expression.
I know that no one can believe or be led to believe that freedom must be surrendered in order to insure economic security for all.The All-Knowing Mind contains the answer to every problem which confronts this country.
I know that every leader in this country is now directed by this All-Knowing Mind and has the knowledge of a complete solution to every problem. Each is compelled to act upon this knowledge to the end that abundance, security, and peace shall come to all.
And I know that this spiritual democracy shall endure, guaranteeing to everyone in this country personal liberty, happiness, and self-expression. Amen.

Give up attachment, there is great power in letting go.
Forgive…don’t hang on to resentment.
Remember that God is the only source of all Good.
From Catherine Ponder, Dare to Prosper:
I fully and freely forgive. I loose and let go.I cast all judgments, resentments, criticism and unforgiveness upon the Christ within, to be dissolved and healed. The prospering Trust has set me free to me my rich good and to share my Good with others.
Praise God!

I’ve been writing about caregiving the past few months and reflected on the powerful examples in my family. Years ago my grandparents emigrated from Poland to the United States in search of a better life for their families. My Dad was one of the oldest of twelve children and he left high school to get a job so he could help support his family.
In the 1960’s my grandfather suffered a number of strokes and was unable to walk. He weighed over 200 pounds and my grandmother wasn’t strong enough to move him. For ten years, my mother went to their home every night and put my grandfather to bed and each morning she got him up and dressed and sat him in his chair. Now my sister cares for my Dad who lives home alone and my Mom who lives in a nursing home.
I could list endless stories of family and friends who care for each other in time of need. I’m sure you have a list of your own caregivers.
Caregiving is complex. It demands us to be patient, strong, persistent, fearless and gentle. We are called on to be advocates, listeners, errand-runners and negotiators. At the same time we deal with our own feelings of guilt, failure, disappointment and fear. All while trying to take care of ourselves so we can care for others.
And yet in the midst of pain, fear and sorrow, the opportunity to be a caregiver is truly a gift. The time we spend with our loved ones is precious. There is an awareness of love that is amazingly profound. We experience an extraordinary deepening of faith.
Who cares? I do. And I know you do. We care because we love and we love because we care.
I absolutely know that God cares for us and loves us unconditionally. And just when we think we can’t face another day, God sends us a caregiver to give us a call or a hug or lend a helping hand.
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 Praise God.
